Ivan's Story | Episode 7 | Grateful Gallivanters

Episode 7 of the Grateful Gallivanters Podcast features a special guest, my good friend Ivan! Back in mid October, Ivan graciously drove in from eastern Washington to visit my dad and I while we were gallivanting in North Cascades National Park 
The 3 of us, along with his producer @jordyn.journeys met up at Washington Pass Overlook, inside of North Cascades National Park. It was the morning after the first snow storm of the season there and the mountain passes were all coasted with a fresh dusting of powder. It made the landscape look magical 
My dad and I recorded an episode for the Hikes and Mics podcast, and then I had Ivan on as a guest for my episode. It represented a full circle moment for me, as I had long wanted to start a podcast on my own. After first the 2nd guest of his podcast way back in October 2022 and then returning as a guest in the summer of last year, I finally got to interview him as a part of the Grateful Gallivanters podcast. And we had a lot of fun recording the episode!
Ivan dishes tips on what nature spots in his home state of Washington are worth visiting and lets the audience in on what inspired him not only to start the Hikes and Mics Podcast, but also what inspired him to launch his own hiking group, the Yakima Valley Trekkers 
Ivan and I also gave flowers to members of the IG nature community and memorable moments we shared with them, such as @wanderswithbritt @azoutdoorsyduo @i.am.bekka @just.trek @_outadvplus_ @hike.with.monica @tamionthetrail and others! We also focus on how the theme of gratitude has shaped our outdoor journeys and discuss things that bring him joy!
